Get Your Hyundai Model Ready for Spring with These 6 Easy Car Care Tips

It's important to take care of your vehicle to ensure it offers optimal safety and performance, and this is perhaps most important during the changing of the seasons; it's officially spring and that means a spring cleaning is in order! If you're not sure where to start, we have a list of 6 Spring Car Care Tips so you can get off on the right foot - or right wheel? - for the warmer weather and sunshine.

  1. Give your vehicle a good old-fashioned washing and waxing. Winter dirt, debris, and salt can really goof up your paint job, and even cause rusting, so cleaning it off thoroughly is imperative.
  2. Similarly, give your cabin a cleaning too. Whether it's the dirt and salt you tracked in, old food, or other collected rubbish, you'll feel much better with a clean and clear cabin to climb into.
  3. Check your tire pressure. Warm weather expands air and, if your tires were properly pressurized for the winter, they may need a reassessment to ensure optimal traction and fuel efficiency.
  4. Take a glance under the hood. Cold weather can leave belts and tubes brittle, so make sure everything is crack- and crumble-free. Check on your coolant levels too, while you're at it.
  5. Think about replacing your windshield wiper blades. If you've travelled through snow or sleet at all during the winter, your wipers' soft rubber can get pretty chewed up. If they're leaving streaks or entire areas uncleared, it's time for a fresh set.
  6. Get your alignment and suspension checked. Pot holes and cracks develop in cold weather and can play pretty serious havoc on both your alignment and suspension, so they deserve a good lookover.

If you're unable to do any of these yourself, you have other issues to address, or you'd just like a professional to do all the dirty work, our service center technicians are just a scheduled appointment away. We hope to see you soon and, until then, drive safely!
